Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Mix the hash browns, soups, and dip in a large bowl:
- I mix a little cheese in too — maybe half a cup.
- Spread into a 9x13-inch baking dish:
- A deeper dish is better, but any 9x13-inch dish should work.
- Top with the remaining cheese.
- Make the topping:
- Crush the corn flakes in a zip-lock bag — get all your aggression into those flakes, use a mallet, hammer, rolling pin, bare fists, whatever you've got.
- Melt the butter in the microwave (cut into small cubes to avoid catastrophe).
- Mix the butter and corn flakes together in the bag.
- Spread the corn flake mixture on top of the cheese.
- Bake at 350°F for 1 hour.
- Optional additions:
- Add meat — bacon, sausage, ham, etc.
- Add veggies — jalapeños, mushrooms, onions, tomatoes, etc.
